CARISSA CHOONG, DMD

Dr. Carissa Choong understands that every child is unique and loves providing personalized care for each of her patients. She strives to create a positive experience for all her patients, and wants to help impact her patients and their families in a fulfilling way. Dr. Choong loves getting to know her patients, earning their trust, and helping them feel as comfortable and confident as possible at the dental office. Her favorite part about being a pediatric dentist is being able to be light-hearted and fun with her patients, and getting to know what makes each patient so unique. She also love witnessing the transformation of patient receptiveness to dental care through proper communication and patience.

Dr. Choong was born in Singapore and raised in Vancouver, B.C. She attended Michigan State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. After graduation, she went on to earn her DMD degree at Oregon Health and Science University, where she graduated with honors. She then completed her pediatric dental residency at the University of Michigan, where she obtained her specialty certificate and Master of Science degree.

In her free time, Dr. Choong enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out, and exploring the outdoors with her fur baby, Roscoe. She is also an avid world traveler and looks forward to visiting more countries in the future. Dr. Choong can’t wait to move back to the Pacific Northwest and call Seattle her new home!
