DR. LEENA U. MENON

Born and raised in Mumbai, India, Dr. Leena U. Menon is a passionate Pediatric Dentist dedicated to enhancing children’s oral health and wellbeing. Dr. Menon’s educational journey reflects a steadfast commitment to pediatric dentistry.

Beginning with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, she laid the foundation for her career in oral health. Driven by a passion for preventative care, she pursued a Clinical Associateship to gain hands-on experience in dental practice. Her commitment to excellence led her to pursue a Master of Dental Surgery in Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, deepening her understanding of specialized care for young patients.

Eager to expand her expertise further, she pursued Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry, honing her skills in complex pediatric dental procedures. Dr. Menon’s pursuit of knowledge reached its pinnacle with a Master of Science in Dentistry, specializing in Pediatric Dentistry, demonstrating her unwavering dedication to providing the highest quality care to children and adolescents. In addition, she is PALS and BLS certified. Dr. Menon is also an American Board of Pediatric Dentistry Diplomate.

Dr. Menon is a decorated pediatric dentist who has been honored with several prestigious awards, including the Graduate Fellowship award, which is granted to a resident with outstanding academic achievement. She also earned the Dean’s Travel Award and achieved the Scholar’s Symposium Award.

Dr. Menon chose her speciality because it offers her the opportunity to create a positive atmosphere for pediatric patients—establishing a positive attitude toward dental care from the very beginning. Furthermore, she truly enjoys building lasting relationships with not only her patients, but also their parents/caregivers as well.

With a warm and friendly approach, she creates a welcoming environment for her young patients by fostering trust and comfort during dental visits. Dr. Menon combines her expertise in dentistry with a genuine love for working with kids, making each appointment a fun and educational experience. One of her favorite memories with a patient is when Dr. Menon asked a patient if he had started flossing, to which he responded, “I floss like a boss!”

Committed to preventative care and early intervention, she strives to instill healthy dental habits that last a lifetime, ensuring bright smiles for every child she cares for. Her favorite part of the job is being able to express her goofy, silly side while taking care of kids’ oral health and seeing the big smiles on their faces at the end of the visit.

Outside of work, Dr. Menon loves trying new restaurants and spending time with her husband. She also enjoys walking by the lake to watch a beautiful sunset, kayaking, practicing yoga or just spending quality time at home.
